Rental Gear
It’s essential to book your ski rental gear prior to arrival.
This will save you a huge amount of time in advance and guarantees you’ll receive the exact equipment you need. Final fitting or adjustments can be made at the time of collection.
Upon arrival in Hakuba, you will collect your gear before making the trip up to Canopy. That way you can be ready to hit the slopes first thing the following morning.
Yamato Luggage Forwarding Service
Feel free to send your luggage to us, it’ll make your trip so much easier!
Travelling through Tokyo with ski gear can be a real challenge. Skip the hassle and send your luggage ahead using Japan’s amazing courier services.
Our favourite is Yamato Luggage Courier (Black Cat) – quick, reliable, and easy to find. They are located in airports, big hotels or have locations in most major hubs.
Ship your bags straight to Canopy and enjoy travelling light and stress-free through Japan.
Please note: we cannot store your luggage prior to your stay. Please request that your luggage be delivered to Canopy on the day of your check-in.You can request your delivery date at the time of postage.

When leaving Canopy, if using Yamato to send your luggage, you’ll need to have cash ready. The drop-off desk at Green Plaza Hotel does not take card payments, and there is no ATM nearby.

Please note: We recommend booking babysitting services well in advance, as they are in very high demand and our trusted sitters fill up quickly.
For full-day in-lodge bookings, please ensure your child’s lunch is prepared beforehand.
Central Snowsports (recommended) carry a wide selection of the newest equipment, including premium and specialised lines.
By pre-booking your gear, Central Snowsports provides a discounted rate and pick-up service upon your arrival to Hakuba. Please arrange this pick-up with Central Snowsports to streamline your arrival to Canopy from the store after final fitting.
BONUS:
Central Snowsports will collect your gear from Canopy at the end of your stay, so you won’t need to return your gear.

Important considerations:
Guests collected from the 11:45am train from Shinjuku will be charged for the current day, as fitting is occurring before their free start time of 1pm.
The Rhythm Wadano store has a fully stocked retail shop filled with the latest snow gear: clothing and equipment. What’s awesome is they have a coffee corner too! Grab a latte while you finalise your new snow purchases.
Rhythm also provides discounted rates when pre-booking your rentals.
By pre-booking, Rhythm also provides a pick-up service upon your arrival to Hakuba. Please arrange this pick-up with Rhythm directly. This will help streamline your transfer to Canopy, allowing us to pick you up from the store after final fitting.
Rhythm will not collect your gear from Canopy. Please ensure that you have returned your rental gear before check-out.

Spicy has multiple locations in the Hakuba Valley, however the most convenient is to rent from the Tsugaike store when staying at Canopy.
We recommend choosing Spicy if you plan to arrive to Canopy via Tsugaike by bus.
Please note that Spicy will not collect your gear at the end of your stay, so please ensure to return this before your departure.

Ski Lessons
This can remain the same, except that we need to remove the following section about Canopy shuttle:
Please note, Canopy offers a resort shuttle to Norikura Resort and Tsugaike Resort, departing at 8:30AM each morning. We do not offer shuttles to Iwatake or Happo One Resorts. Please be aware of this when booking lessons. Local buses may not line up with lesson start times at Iwatake or Happo One, so best to book local at Norikura or private lessons that provides a pick-up service from the lodge.
Lift Tickets
This can remain the same, except that we need to remove the following section:
Canopy has exclusive discounted lift passes for Cortina Norikura Resort for our guests.

Cortina & Norikura Ski Resort
- Adult: ¥6,200 (¥5,400 yen when purchased online in advance + ¥5,200 yen for online re-charges on your card from the second day onwards)
- Child: ¥3,500
Tsugaike – Nothing to be changed here. The pricing for Tsugaike remains the same
Iwatake Resort
- Adult: ¥7,000 (¥6,300 with advance online purchase)
- Children: ¥4,200 (¥3,900 with advance online purchase)
Iwatake also offers discounted rates for a 2 day pass.
Happo-One Resort
- Adult: ¥8,700
- Children: ¥4,350
